Meet Lauren
Muralist, Designer, Singer, Creative Director, Writer, Anti-Fit-in-the-Box Rebel
I’m a multi-disciplinary artist and muralist rooted in bold expression, vibrant storytelling, and Afrocentric color theory. My work lives at the intersection of joy, culture, and visual transformation—inviting people to pause, feel, and connect. From large-scale murals to intimate canvas pieces and playful product design, I see art as a medium of healing and expansion.
I’m currently based in Raleigh, NC, but my work travels wherever soul, color, and good storytelling are needed.
Why This Residency Matters to Me
This residency aligns beautifully with where I am in my creative evolution. I’m looking to immerse myself in an inspiring environment that fosters play, collaboration, and experimentation. I see this as a space to not only grow my studio practice but deepen my artistic voice—and be in community with other artists doing the same.
I’d love to use this time to work on a series that blends abstract forms, ancestral symbols, and experimental layering techniques to explore memory, movement, and rebirth.
