The same girl who painted these no longer exists. The healed woman writing this now has survived stage 4 cancer, completed chemotherapy, and crossed through a season that changed her forever. These archive canvases were created during one of the hardest and most transformative chapters of my life. While my body was struggling, I still found myself returning to color, movement, imagination, and creation. Art became a place where I could still feel alive. Now, as I prepare to ring the bell for my final chemotherapy treatment on May 8th, 2026 I feel ready to release these works into new homes. This archive release is not just about selling paintings. It’s about letting go of survival mode. Releasing old energy. Honoring the version of myself that carried me through unimaginable moments while making space for who I am becoming now. ‘Tongo Barra’ was the ultimate soundtrack for creating ‘Sunspell on the Beach’. This album is an homage to desert blues. And it reminded me of my time living in Cape Town, South Africa in 2023- early 2024. The drums, the guitar, huh!!! It’s literally SO hard to stay still to this song haha! It feels ancestral to dance to!!

‘Daydreaming’ by Aretha Franklin was the song I played repeatedly for creating ‘Free is my Birthright’. I blasted a ton of 70’s love music while throwing paint at this one.
